The hotel was a wonderful base for enjoying a great area, near to a railway station, central Portugal, and the nearest supermarket. There was variety of food for breakfast, including coffee, slices of fresh bread, jam, eggs, and cheese. Got nicely decorated and new-fashioned room with good mattress and complimentary water, as example had a lovely stay overall. Everyone was really helpful and affable as well as owner...
The bathroom was cold.

The location was marvellous as for me, next to the church, central Portugal and the cafeteria across the street. The personnel was very amiable and friendly, and the owner too. I enjoyed the room, it was well decorated and modern and included with good mattress, complimentary water, for instance...

The hotel was equipped with everything I needed, like newspapers to line my birdcage, a fax machine to send love letters to my ex, and an ATM machine to withdraw cash for my post-shopping therapy. The bar was perfect for drowning my sorrows, and the restaurant served food that made me reconsider my diet.
That I didn't have time to try all the exciting activities like hiking, fishing, and cycling because I was too busy being fabulous.

The rooms at Bartholomeu Guesthouse 2 were fantastic! They had air conditioning, which was a lifesaver in the hot weather. The beds were comfy and the view from our room was amazing. Plus, the private bathroom was a nice touch.
I personally didn't like that the twin room had a flat-screen TV. But hey, that's just me.

I really got great value for my money at this guesthouse. The room was clean and cozy, with lovely decorations and comfortable beds. The location was charming, with a cute little town to explore. The staff was amazing, working hard and always friendly. They even remembered my name and dietary requirements from my previous stay. I'll definitely be returning when I'm in Portugal.
For breakfast, I wish there was a bigger variety of options on the menu.

The team is amazing and fulfilled my request for additional nights at their nearby hotel. The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and an amazing shower. The breakfast was perfect and the freshly made coffee was a great start to the day. There was also a kitchenette and a comfy sofa, which was a bonus. The hotel also had a roof terrace with a great view of the church.
The reception was in the café and it was closed when we arrived, so it took a while to figure out how to check in. The town itself was a bit out of the way and not very interesting, which could be a disadvantage for those without a car.
